Drug point dismantled in Arrecife

The Civil Guard of Costa Teguise arrested a 38-year-old person on May 29 for a crime against public health in its form of drug trafficking and has dismantled a point of sale and consumption of drugs in Arrecife.

The investigation began in April as a result of police investigations carried out by the Civil Guard for a crime against property that occurred in Costa Teguise.

A series of indications based on statements and follow-ups led the members of the Investigation Area to a drug sales point in a house located on Perú street in Arrecife.

Immediately, the Civil Guard gathered the necessary evidence to bring the facts to the attention of the holder of the Investigating Court acting as duty judge, who authorized an entry and search of the home where the retail sale of drugs was carried out.

The home search was carried out in the company of the judicial commission and more than 15 grams of cocaine, almost 10 grams of crack (base cocaine), more than 68 grams of hashish, 2 grams of marijuana and several opiate medications were seized, with the circumstance that the drug was in a room that the detainee had rented in a house where various people came to buy and consume the drug right there.

On the other hand, the Civil Guard located in the home search different objects of which the legal origin could not be justified, it being estimated that these could be related as payments for the acquired drug, an extreme that the investigators are analyzing.
