The Civil Guard has arrested two people, J.R.P.C. and P.F.P, of Spanish nationality and residents of Lanzarote, as alleged perpetrators of three crimes of robbery with force in several tool sheds and country houses, intended for weekend enjoyment. All the robberies were committed in the Tinajo area, between April 18 and 21.
The arrests were carried out by agents from the investigation area of the main post of San Bartolomé and took place on April 26 and May 15, according to a statement from the Civil Guard.
In the Civil Guard's investigations, it was found that "there was a similarity in the modus operandi in all the robberies, whose objectives were mainly various metallic objects, which were supposedly sold later". The agents initiated a special surveillance device, in different places, waiting for the alleged perpetrators to try to sell the stolen objects.
In this way, they could locate those stolen effects and arrest the alleged perpetrators of the robberies. The stolen effects, and recovered by the Civil Guard, were recognized by their legitimate owners.
The two detainees were placed at the disposal of the corresponding Duty Court of Arrecife.
