A man from Germany has been arrested in the municipality of Tinajo, accused of an alleged crime of Cultivation or Production of Drugs. At the time of the arrest, the Civil Guard seized 59 marijuana plants "with their respective pots", which were in an area "difficult to access".
The investigation was carried out by the Civil Guard of San Bartolomé, who became aware of the existence of a possible marijuana plantation in Tinajo. For this reason, on December 11, a location and surveillance device was established, "resulting in the location of the alleged marijuana plantation, which was in a protected and difficult to access place".
Specifically, the cultivation was located in the area known as "Montaña Ortiz", within the volcanic zone of Tinguaton. During this surveillance, the agents surprised a person watering the plants, P.J.C., so they proceeded to arrest him.
The Civil Guard emphasizes that to carry out this service it has had the collaboration of the Local Police of Tinajo and makes special emphasis on the "exchange of information" that has existed between both bodies.
The detainee and the seized effects were placed at the disposal of the Courts of Arrecife.
