The 29-year-old man who was arrested for allegedly robbing two hotels in Playa Blanca and trying to run over an officer was released and, the next day, was arrested again. The Civil Guard arrested him, on this occasion, for an alleged crime of theft.
This new arrest took place on Wednesday around 1:00 p.m. in the town of San Bartolomé. Civil Guard officers identified him on public roads, as he was carrying a mobile phone that appeared to be related to a theft that occurred on September 13 in a house in Güime, as explained to La Voz from this body.
Apparently, the tenant of the house left her mobile phone on the terrace and that moment was used by this young man to allegedly take the Smartphone. In addition to recovering the mobile phone, the Civil Guard arrested this person and charged him with a crime of theft.
To this crime, we must add the other four that the Civil Guard charged him with this Tuesday. Specifically, the young man, who has numerous police records, is accused of a continued crime of robbery with force, of assault against an agent of authority, another crime against road safety because he did not have a driver's license when he fled from one of the hotels, and another crime of theft of vehicle use, since the car in which he escaped was stolen in Arrecife.
In the robbery of one of the tourist complexes in Playa Blanca, the young man seems to have had the help of two other people involved, a man and a woman. The Civil Guard has not yet found them, although it continues to take steps to locate them.
