The 73-year-old man who suffered an accident on Monday, May 15, in Teguise, has been evacuated to Gran Canaria, to the Doctor Negrín Hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, the José Molina Orosa Hospital has authorized his transfer by helicopter.
The man was run over while walking along Puerto y Villa de Garachico street in the town at around 6.13 pm. And immediately afterwards, he was picked up by the ambulance to be treated at the Lanzarote hospital.
As reported by the CECOES this Monday, due to the accident, the doctors certified that he presented a traumatic brain injury.
Now his immediate transfer has been required to be attended to at the hospital center in Las Palmas.
