A manta ray appeared stranded this Monday, December 8, on the shore of the coastal area of Las Caletas, in the municipality of Teguise. The alert was received at 7:25 p.m., classified as a Level 1 service, according to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium.
The Consortium Manager alerted the Central Park officers, who quickly moved to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that the specimen was deceased
After verification, the central command was informed and the firefighters returned to the station, with no further action required. Authorities have not yet detailed the causes of the animal's death.
