Personnel from the Consortium for Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote and La Graciosa intervened this Sunday in a fire declared in a walled plot located on León Felipe street in Arrecife.

The alert was received at 13:15 hours through CECOES, which reported the presence of a fire inside the enclosure. The fire generated a significant column of black smoke that could be observed from different points of the city, which caught the attention of numerous residents.

Firefighters from the Central Park were dispatched to the scene, and upon arrival, they confirmed that a large amount of smoke was coming from the plot. After accessing the interior, the personnel confirmed that the flames were affecting several pallets, cardboard, and stubble accumulated on the plot.

The firefighters proceeded to extinguish the fire and, once the fire was controlled, carried out an inspection of the area to ensure that there were no embers left that could cause a reactivation.
