The Civil Guard of Lanzarote together with the National Police, the Local Police of Tías and the Provincial Labor and Social Security Inspectorate, carried out on May 24, 2025 a preventive citizen security service focused on the main premises and leisure areas of Puerto del Carmen.
The main objective of the device was the joint action in their different areas of competence, of the entities that participated in order to cover a greater field of action in the actions carried out.
The Civil Guard intensified its presence in Puerto del Carmen, through several preventive citizen security controls, in collaboration with the National Police, which was responsible for identifying people and checking possible situations of irregular stay in the country.
Simultaneously, agents of the Local Police of the municipality supported the administrative inspections in nightlife venues, verifying licenses and municipal authorizations in accordance with Law 4/2011 on classified activities and public shows of the Government of the Canary Islands.
In addition, officials from the Provincial Labor and Social Security Inspectorate of Lanzarote participated, who carried out the mandatory checks on labor matters in the inspected establishments.
With this initiative they defend "the permanent commitment of the Civil Guard to guarantee citizen security and the common welfare of citizens, making clear the close collaboration between the forces and security forces deployed on the Island of Lanzarote, whose fundamental objective is to guarantee the safety and well-being of residents and, by extension, that of its visitors".
