The second day of the search for the young man missing in the Los Charcones area of Playa Blanca concluded this Monday without success.
The search will resume first thing Tuesday, a day on which **sea conditions are expected to improve notably**, with waves not exceeding two meters in height, which will allow rescue services to work more effectively
In this regard, the search is expected to continue from 08:00 AM, as confirmed by Enrique Espinosa, manager of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium.
Likewise, with the improvement of the weather situation, they expect that the divers from the Special Group of Underwater Activities (GEAS) will be able to access the water to try to recover the body of the missing young man
It should be remembered that the incident took place this past Sunday, January 25, when **four young people of American nationality, between 19 and 21 years old**, were in distress in this dangerous coastal area, closed to swimming due to a yellow alert for strong waves. Two of them managed to get out on their own, a third was rescued alive by the GES helicopter, while the fourth remains missing. The search operation was suspended on Sunday afternoon/evening due to lack of visibility and adverse sea conditions, with its resumption scheduled for Monday with the first light, as has finally happened
