The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium intervened on the afternoon of this Thursday, April 9, after being alerted by CECOES about a fire in a food truck located in the gardens of the outdoor square of the Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort, on Avenida del Mar, in Costa Teguise.
Firefighters moved to the scene. Upon their arrival, Local Police officers facilitated access to the area, where they verified that the fire was already in the extinction phase thanks to the prior action of the hotel staff.
Given this situation, it was communicated that the intervention of other mobilized resources was not necessary. During the action, Civil Guard agents also appeared.
The firefighters proceeded to extinguish the fire by means of the application of foam in wetting mode with the help of the ProPak system. As a consequence of the fire, a large part of the caravan and several elements of the kitchen equipment, such as the fryer and the griddle, were affected.
