Basketball in Lanzarote is in mourning after the death this Sunday of Pablo Brieba, player, coach and a beloved figure within the Tizziri Tinajo club. The young man, around 30 years old, lost his life in the Los Charcones area, in Playa Blanca.
The sports entity has shown its deep regret through an emotional message on its social networks in which it remembers Brieba not only for his dedication on the court, but also for his human quality.
“Today is one of those days that leave us completely broken, of not wanting to believe reality, of those in which we all question why life is sometimes so unfair. Today our coach, player and above all a great person and friend, Pablo Brieba, has left us”, they expressed from Tizziri Tinajo.
The club has conveyed its condolences and all its support to the young man's family and friends in these “very difficult moments”.
