One of the teleclubs in the municipality of Teguise suffered a spectacular mishap this Sunday, when part of the false ceiling of the premises collapsed. The incident took place in the Soo cultural center, and the debris fell on the bar and its surroundings.

However, according to the Councilor for Culture of the City Council, Nori Machín, who is a member of the board of directors of the cultural center, there was no personal injury to regret. And, although the woman who runs the bar was inside, "she was quick and left" the bar. "There was material damage, although bottles and little else," Machín said.

Regarding the causes of why the false ceiling could have collapsed, Machín has pointed out that they are unknown at the moment. "Our technicians are assessing it and we are awaiting that assessment," he said.

As the mayor has detailed, the land where it is located is owned by the founding members of the cultural center, although the building was completed by the Teguise City Council, with an agreement between the City Council and said society.
