Firefighters extinguished a palm tree fire last Sunday on Calle San Antonio in Güime, San Bartolomé. Alerted by the CECOES, they went to put out the fire that occurred around 9.53 am.
Upon arriving at the scene, they found that it was a palm tree fire. They also noticed the sparks that, due to friction, had caused the fire to start, since the power line crossed the crown of the palm tree.
Finally, they proceeded to extinguish it with sprayed and jetted water. In addition to the firefighters, the Local Police also went to the scene.
