Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium moved early this Sunday morning to Puerto del Carmen, alerted by the fire of a palm tree.
The fire originated in Chalana Street, inside the La Peñita apartments.
Upon arrival, they proceeded to extinguish the fire with sprayed and jet water. Once extinguished, and without risk of ignition, they returned to the base.
The Local Police of Tías was also at the scene.
