An Emergency device has moved to the town of Tahíche, in the municipality of Teguise, due to a truck running over a 69-year-old man.

The events occurred at 8:40 in the morning, when a caller notified the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordinating Center of a run over on Benito Pérez Galdós street, in front of the Tahíche sociocultural center and near the local pharmacy.

According to CECOES to La Voz, upon arrival of the paramedics at the scene, the person had injuries incompatible with life. In this line, the Firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium have reported that upon their arrival the person was trapped under the axle of the truck. At that moment, they proceeded to secure the area and waited for authorization from the authorities to carry out the rescue operation.

When they received authorization, they lifted the truck in order to free the body of the trapped man. After achieving his release, they made the body available to the relevant authorities to carry out the corresponding investigations and procedures.

Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote, Local Police, Civil Guard and a medicalized ambulance from the SUC have also traveled to the scene.

For its part, the Civil Guard instructed the corresponding proceedings.
