The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium intervened on Thursday night after a traffic accident at kilometer 2.5 of the LZ-702, in the municipality of Yaiza. The incident, which occurred at around 11:00 p.m., resulted in the overturning of a vehicle whose occupant was lying on the roof inside.
The firefighters proceeded to stabilize the injured person, immobilizing his neck with a cervical collar and placing him on a spinal board. Subsequently, and with the health services present, he was assisted with a vacuum mattress before being transferred by ambulance. The paramedics stabilized the affected person and evacuated him to Molina Orosa.
The vehicle was repositioned and its battery was disconnected as a safety measure. Finally, the operatives cleaned the road to restore traffic to normal.
Civil Guard and Local Police officers also intervened at the scene, who were in charge of carrying out the corresponding report.
