The burning of containers continues in Lanzarote. Firefighters extinguished a fire in a container in San Bartolomé early this Wednesday morning. The fire originated in Doctor Severo Ochoa street around 4:32 a.m., according to the Security and Emergency Consortium.
Alerted by the CECOES, emergency personnel went to the area to extinguish the flames originating in an organic container. They proceeded to extinguish the fire with water and foam and verify that there was no possibility of re-ignition.
In addition, the Local Police also went to the scene to secure the area and move the rest of the containers away from the fire, before the arrival of the firefighters.
