National Police agents arrested a 44-year-old man in Arrecife, with a long history of police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery.
The events unfolded after a complaint from an 18-year-old young man stating that when he was returning to his home located on Salamanca Street in Arrecife, he was assaulted by an individual who gave him a strong blow to the head. After several seconds of struggle, the man seized the complainant's mobile phone and fled the scene running.
With the physical characteristics provided by the young man, the police officers identified the alleged perpetrator of the events, a 44-year-old man who has numerous police records for violent crimes. Once located in the capital of Lanzarote, the national police proceeded to arrest him for a crime of robbery with violence.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
