The National Police have arrested a man in Arrecife as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual abuse of a minor. According to reports from the police force, the arrested man sexually abused his partner's daughter for eight years against her will and taking advantage of her age.
In addition, they point out that the victim had not reported the events previously for fear of the aggressor's threats.
The National Police explain that the investigation began after agents became aware that a 14-year-old girl could have been suffering sexual abuse for several years. The investigations carried out by the agents revealed that the alleged perpetrator of the sexual abuse was the partner of the minor's mother, and that they had been repeating since she was six years old.
Other investigations allowed to verify through medical examinations, the existence of traces that testified to the abuse suffered by the victim. The testimonies provided by the minor allowed to corroborate the investigations of the agents and that it had not been reported previously due to the fear she felt in the face of the aggressor's threats.
The police investigation culminated in the location and arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the events for a crime of sexual abuse of a minor, being placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority who ordered his immediate imprisonment.
