Firefighters and Local Police officers from Haría prevented a person from committing suicide at approximately 5:40 p.m. this Monday in the Gallo area, near Guinate, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES) alerted the Local Police of Haría to a suicide attempt in the Gallo area, so they went to the scene. The officers informed the firefighters that they did not know the man's location, as he was sending confusing messages.
After searching the area, the Local Police located the person and spoke with them, who was in good health.
Authorities emphasize the importance of seeking help in situations of emotional crisis. The Ministry of Health reminds that the 024 Line is available free of charge and confidentially to assist people with suicidal thoughts, as well as their family members and loved ones.
