Personnel from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium intervened this Tuesday, June 2, at the Yaiza Health Center to remove a ring that had become trapped on a person's finger.
According to the Consortium, the alert was received at 12:48 PM through the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES), after health personnel requested the collaboration of firefighters to resolve the situation.
Once on site, the personnel confirmed that the person had edema in the affected finger, which made it impossible to remove the ring by conventional methods.
Given this circumstance, the firefighters proceeded to cut the piece with a specific tool for this type of action, managing to extract it without incident.
After the service was completed, the personnel communicated the conclusion of the intervention to both CECOES and the fire department central.
