The Santos Jewelry store in Puerto del Carmen suffered a jewelry theft in the early hours of this Sunday worth 3.5 million euros, according to the first estimate of the owner of the establishment. According to the Civil Guard, the agents went to the place after the local alarm went off at around 03.30 hours. Upon arrival, the agents verified that the thieves accessed the jewelry store through the roof. Agents of the Local Police of Tías also came to the place.
As La Voz has learned from police sources, tools were found in the premises, such as screwdrivers and a crowbar, with which they would probably have forced the doors,
The owner of the establishment has filed a complaint at the Civil Guard barracks and has made a first assessment of the jewels, of 3.5 million euros, pending a full inventory of what was stolen. The Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Costa Teguise has taken charge of the investigation.
