The personnel of the Firefighters Service of the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote and La Graciosa intervened on the afternoon of this Monday, July 6, to rescue a two-year-old girl who had been accidentally locked inside a vehicle on Pino Cuervo street, in Playa Honda, within the municipality of San Bartolomé.
The alert was received at 18:04 hours through CECOES 1-1-2, which immediately mobilized a team of firefighters to the scene.
Once there, the personnel assessed the situation and proceeded to open the car using non-destructive opening techniques and specialized tools, which allowed quick access to the passenger compartment without causing damage to the vehicle.
The minor was released in good condition and the intervention of health services was not necessary. After concluding the operation, the firefighters informed CECOES of the service's completion and returned to their base, becoming operational again.
During the intervention, a patrol from the Local Police also collaborated, providing support in the development of the operation.
