Firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies were dispatched on Wednesday night to the unfinished housing development at the Faro de Pechiguera, in Playa Blanca (Yaiza), after being alerted to a fire involving garbage and belongings.
After being informed by the Lanzarote Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES), they confirmed that there were two independent fires. One of them was located next to the unfinished and abandoned houses of Faro de Pechiguera and another, separate from them and with no risk of spreading.
The firefighters extinguished both fires with water and have concluded the service, informing the fire department dispatch and the CECOES. The Local Police of Yaiza also collaborated in this service.
