The Security and Emergency Consortium has reported several incidents in La Graciosa this Monday due to the strong winds hitting the area due to the Dorothea storm.
Alerted by 1-1-2, the Local Police and the neighbors, the firefighters attended several incidents, including the removal of affected parts of pergolas in four homes, the repair of three signs on facades and the securing of three fences. In addition, the moorings of several zodiacs were replaced, the metallic roof of the storage room for fuel drums in the port was secured and they collaborated in the disembarkation of a passenger with reduced mobility. Firefighters continue to check buildings and structures to minimize risks.
In another wind-related incident, a solar panel came loose on Erizo street in Famara. The firefighters, alerted by a corporal, went to the scene and, using a ladder truck and restraint equipment for working at height, removed the panel and placed it safely on the roof of the house. After finishing the service, they informed the fire station and the CECOES before returning to the park.
