A fire broke out this Wednesday in a restaurant on the seafront avenue of Playa Blanca. The incident occurred around 2 p.m., when 1-1-2 received the notice. The Fire Fighting and Rescue Unit of Civil Protection of Yaiza and the Firefighters of the Island Emergency Consortium went to the area to control the fire and extinguish the flames. A task that lasted for two hours.
Apparently, the flames may have originated in the grill area and, despite the efforts of the owner of the premises, who tried to put them out with a fire extinguisher, they quickly spread to an office located on the upper floor of the building.
Despite the spectacular nature of the flames and the dense smoke, there were no personal injuries to regret.
