A boat and its crew member were rescued this Monday night in the south of Lanzarote after suffering a fire on board. The events occurred at night at 10:50 p.m., after the 1-1-2 emergency services were notified, according to EMERLAN.
After being alerted, Emerlan mobilized its boat to help the only occupant of the boat. The boat, about 5 meters in length, suffered a fire in the engine, leaving it adrift.
Once the person inside was rescued, the boat was towed to the Port of Tiñosa at around 11:57 p.m.
