A 27-year-old female diver is in serious condition after suffering an incomplete drowning while diving in Playa Blanca, according to the Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES).
The events occurred around 3:51 PM, at which time 112 received an alert informing that a person required medical assistance after suffering a diving accident after performing a dive.
After speaking with the alert callers, CECOES activated a medicalized ambulance that quickly traveled to the scene.
Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, healthcare personnel assessed and treated the affected person, who at the initial moment of assistance presented symptoms of incomplete drowning.
Once stabilized, she was transferred in serious condition by medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Civil Guard and Local Police officers from Yaiza also participated in the incident, collaborating with the other resources and initiating the corresponding proceedings.
