The critically injured man after the fire that occurred in the early hours of last Wednesday in a house in Arrecife has been transferred to the Burn Unit of the La Paz Hospital in Madrid, as confirmed to La Voz by health sources.

The transfer took place at around 1 p.m. this Thursday, after the man was admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital on Wednesday with multiple serious burns. Regarding the other man who was also seriously injured, in this case with third-degree burns on his legs, health sources have indicated that he is "stable" in the ICU of the Molina Orosa Hospital.

In addition, it should be remembered that a third man was injured in the fire with injuries to his legs, although in this case they were minor, without it having transpired in this case if he is still admitted or has already been discharged.

Regarding the causes of the fire, the National Police continues to not provide any information, limiting itself to indicating that it continues to investigate. The same, as La Voz already reported, occurred in a house inhabited by squatters on Blas Cabrera Topham street where, according to residents of the area, discussions had been taking place.

As reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium, the fire was located in a room that looked like a bedroom and in a kitchen and, as a result, the ceilings of the house were "very damaged, with risk of collapse".
