The Local Police arrested two people last Sunday, a man and a woman, for assaulting an officer in Arrecife. The events occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Cienfuegos Street in the capital of Lanzarote.
The agents were alerted to the presence of a man preventing circulation, and when they arrived at the scene, they found the man under a car, refusing to leave. After several attempts to get him out, they finally succeeded.
In the attempt, the man and the woman (who apparently were a couple) assaulted an officer, with blows and kicks. In addition, witnesses to the event informed the officers that shortly before their arrival, they were arguing.
A detention in which the National Police has also collaborated, police sources report. After the events, both have been accused of a crime of Assault Against an Authority Agent, Disobedience and Resistance.
