A car crashed into the median of the LZ-2 road northbound, near the Tías hardware store, according to the Lanzarote Volunteer Firefighters Consortium. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. this Monday, January 5th.
Upon receiving the activation, a patrol unit, a rapid intervention vehicle, and a coordination unit from the Lanzarote Volunteer Firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the personnel confirmed it was a car that, while in motion, had suffered a front-side impact against a concrete structure.
Firefighters proceeded to mitigate risks, stabilize the crashed vehicle, and work on cleaning the road, as well as stabilizing both the concrete structure and the guardrail affected by the impact
Personnel from Civil Protection of Tías also intervened in the operation, collaborating with the fire brigade in the tasks of cleaning and securing the roadway, working in a coordinated manner to ensure road safety and restore normal traffic flow.
Likewise, the Local Police of Tías and the Civil Guard of Traffic participated, whose officers were in charge of regulating traffic and preparing the corresponding accident report
