La Molina José María Gil de San Bartolomé, a historical reference in the production of gofio on the Island, was assaulted in the early hours of this past day. In addition to the theft of cash and merchandise, the thief or thieves caused multiple damages to the door, furniture and various areas of the facilities.
Lourdes Rodríguez, head of La Molina, assures that the damages caused are being assessed and quantified. It is estimated that the assault could have occurred around one in the morning.
Theft at the Juncar bookstore and in several cars
It so happens that in the same early morning there was an attempted theft at the Juncar bookstore that ended with the pursuit by the Local Police of the perpetrator who could not be caught but has been identified. In addition, several cars were victims of theft.
The Civil Guard is trying to clarify the facts and see if both these and the damages caused to La Molina José María Gil are related, having occurred in the same town and in the early hours of Thursday.
