Chase in San Bartolomé: He enters a bookstore to steal and flees from the police

The alleged thief has been identified by the Local Police and the agents have passed the proceedings to the Civil Guard

Local Police prevent a robbery in a store in San Bartolomé

A man broke into the Juncar bookstore in San Bartolomé during the early hours of this Thursday. The events took place at 01.45 hours on Avenida de las Palmeras in the municipality, as confirmed to La Voz by a witness.

In a video that this editorial team has been able to access, you can see how a vehicle of the Local Police of San Bartolomé stopped in front of the shop, while an individual ran out from inside the premises. According to the aforementioned witness, the man was allegedly carrying an object in his hands.

Thus, despite the fact that two Local Police officers went after him and another drove the patrol car, they could not reach him. However, the alleged thief, a resident of the municipality, has been identified and the agents have passed the proceedings to the Civil Guard.

In addition, it is believed that he was the perpetrator that same night of robberies inside several cars on Cervantes street in San Bartolomé. In this case, he stole money and objects such as sunglasses, according to one of the victims to La Voz, who has filed a complaint with the Civil Guard together with the other affected parties.
