The boat in which at least 13 immigrants arrived in Lanzarote early this Friday morning has finally been found on the coast of Jameos del Agua, as reported by the Civil Guard. The boat, made of wood and about eight meters long, was found from the sea by the Río Órbigo patrol boat of the Benemérita at approximately 9:30 a.m. Regarding the immigrant transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital, the Civil Guard specified that he had a knee injury.

It was at approximately 1:10 a.m. when a citizen called 112 reporting that there was a group of people walking along the LZ-1 road and that they could be irregular immigrants.

In order to locate them, a deployment was initiated in the area, and so far, 13 people have been intercepted, all of them men, of whom four have reported being minors, although they will undergo the corresponding tests to determine their age. Of the immigrants located, one of them had to be transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital as he had a knee injury.

The Río Órbigo patrol boat joined the police deployment in the area in order to locate the boat, which was finally found on the coast of Jameos del Agua.

The Civil Guard emphasizes that they are still working on the site with the search device and in the subsequent transfer to the National Police Corps of Arrecife, as they are competent in matters of immigration.
