The Local Police arrested a man for uttering racist insults and attempting to assault a doctor last Monday morning with a ten-centimeter knife at the Tahíche Local Clinic.

According to what he told La Voz, the arrested man burst into the waiting room asking to be "seen quickly, that he couldn't wait," since he "needed a medical prescription," going so far as to "hit the reception desk."

Later, the man burst into the office forcefully pushing the door and began to shout racist insults at her: "When the hell are you going to solve my problem, you son of a bitch, shitty Latina!". Immediately afterwards, he "took out the ten-centimeter knife" and approached her table, pointing the knife at her while shouting: "I'm going to gouge your eyes out and shove them up your cunt so you can't look at anyone else. Shitty Latina. What are you doing here?", explains the victim.

At the time of the attempted assault, she "was attending to a patient in their 70s with a hypertensive crisis," she says. "With the scare, something could have happened to him too," the doctor says. A nurse was the one who intervened, stopping the man. "If the nurse hadn't stopped him, I wouldn't be telling this story," she reveals.

The doctor is currently "on leave due to anxiety" and confesses to La Voz that she is still "with the shock still in my head." "I have the fright in my body and the fear that he will recognize me again and something will happen to me," she points out. A surprising situation since "it's the first time something like this has happened to me, normally it stays in shouting," she adds.

After what happened, the woman went to the Local Police and the Civil Guard to file the corresponding report.
