National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested a 43-year-old man, with no criminal record, as the alleged perpetrator of an assault in a leisure area.
The events unfolded in the early hours of the morning after a citizen called 091, reporting that he had been attacked outside a nightclub in Arrecife.
Police officers went to a hospital where the victim was receiving medical assistance, as he had a fractured jaw after the attack.
An investigation was thus initiated in which the police agents were able to identify the alleged perpetrator, who turned out to be a 43-year-old man, with no criminal record, who was subsequently arrested for assault.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was brought before the competent Judicial Authority.
The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
