National Police agents have arrested a 33-year-old man in Arrecife, with numerous police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery. The arrested man allegedly stabbed a man in the armpit with a knife to steal a wallet with 300 euros in cash.
The events unfolded after a call was received by the 091 telephone number from a health center reporting that a man had come in with injuries sustained as a result of a violent robbery.
The police officers who arrived at the scene interviewed the victim, who told the police officers that an individual approached him and, without saying a word, grabbed him and stabbed him under the armpit, stealing a wallet with 300 euros in cash. After struggling with the aggressor and managing to escape, he went to the health center to be treated for his injuries.
A police investigation was thus initiated, in which National Police agents, using the physical characteristics provided by the complainant, were able to identify and subsequently arrest the alleged perpetrator of the events for a crime of violent robbery.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
