A 70-year-old woman lost consciousness for "some minutes" this Wednesday after falling in the area of Las Grietas, located on the road between San Bartolomé and Tías.

For this reason, she had to be rescued by the Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote (Boluntis), who acted in collaboration with healthcare personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC).

The patient managed to move on her own means from a difficult access area, while accompanied by a team of volunteer firefighters.

For their part, the SUC personnel performed a check-up on the patient, who was transferred to the health center.

After completing the care, Boluntis informed the Emergency Coordinating Center of the completion of the service.
