A 69-year-old paraglider has been injured after suffering a fall between Risco de Famara and the mountain of Teguise. The accident took place this Wednesday at around 1:40 p.m. and it was some colleagues who, upon seeing that this paraglider was having problems, raised the alarm.
Paramedics from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) and firefighters have traveled to the area after receiving the notice. Personnel from the Lanzarote Consortium have located the injured man and transferred him to the SUC's health resource.
The 69-year-old man presented injuries of a "less serious" nature, specifically, he had both arms fractured. Therefore, he has been transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in a medicalized ambulance.
The Local Police and the Civil Guard have also participated, who will instruct the corresponding procedures.
