National campaign to control alcohol levels

On the other hand, the Local Police of Arrecife reports that since last Monday it has been carrying out daily alcohol level controls in the capital, within the framework of the national alcohol level control campaign of the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), to which the Arrecife City Council has joined, and which will extend until next Sunday, July 17.

The Civil Guard also participates by carrying out alcohol level controls within the framework of this campaign throughout the national territory. In this sense, it has established 1,000 control points and plans to carry out 20,000 daily controls. In addition, to reinforce its message, volunteers from the Federation of Associations of Spinal Cord Injured (ASPAYM) accompany Civil Guard agents to explain on the ground to drivers the possible consequences associated with the disastrous combination of alcohol consumption and driving.

In short, an initiative that has been joined by many city councils, as well as groups and volunteers, which allows us to remember the need to be careful behind the wheel, especially in this summer season.
