Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium have rescued an injured fisherman after suffering a fall in a rocky area on the coast of Lanzarote. The incident took place in Soo, in the municipality of Teguise, at 9:22 a.m. this Thursday. This was reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security.
CECOES received an alert from the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote reporting that a fisherman needed medical assistance after suffering a fall on the coast.
The injured man is 44 years old and had a serious trauma to a lower limb. The firefighters provided first aid and, after rescuing him, evacuated him to the area where the basic life support ambulance of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was located, which was responsible for his assistance and transfer to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
For the operation, the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordinating Center activated firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote, a basic life support ambulance from the SUC, and agents from the Local Police of Teguise.
