That afternoon, a car was stopped at a crosswalk waiting to resume its journey when the 32-year-old motorcyclist crashed into the rear of the vehicle.
Apparently, the driver did not see that the car in front was stopped. An incident that caused traffic jams on the road, as can be seen in the image that La Voz has had access to.
After being identified by the Local Police officers, the motorcyclist underwent a breathalyzer test, which was positive with an alcohol level higher than 0.60 milligrams per liter in exhaled air. Immediately afterwards, the man was taken by ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital to be treated for the injuries from the impact.
In addition, three Local Police patrol cars and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched to the area.
The motorcyclist has been summoned to a speedy trial to be held this Friday for a crime against road safety for driving a motor vehicle or moped with an alcohol level higher than allowed.
