A boat with 16 immigrants of Maghreb origin arrived during the first hours of this Sunday by their own means to Playa del Roncador, in the municipality of Tinajo. Nine of the immigrants were able to be located and detained while the search continues for the rest of the people who were on board. According to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes), around 07.43 hours the first calls were received reporting that there were immigrants walking through the town.
For its part, of the 16 immigrants who were on the boat, nine have already been arrested. One of them had to be transferred with a fracture in his lower limb to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. The remaining eight are in the premises of the Local Police of Tinajo.
Finally, the Civil Guard is in charge of the corresponding instruction and continues to search for the rest of the people who were in the boat.
