A new boat has reached the coasts of Lanzarote. At approximately 5:30 p.m. this Friday, the Local Police of Teguise informed the Civil Guard of Costa Teguise about the arrival of a boat with immigrants to the area known as Barranco Mulión, near Los Ancones, in the municipality of Teguise. According to reports from the Emergency Consortium, "the immigrants fled once they reached the coast, abandoning the boat at the scene."
Immediately, 112 of the Canary Islands activated a security and emergency device in Teguise and both agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police are currently searching for the occupants of the boat, a task that has been complicated by nightfall.
So far, a total of five immigrants of Maghrebi origin, all males, have been located in the vicinity, all in good health.
On this occasion, the boat used is a black inflatable boat.
