A 52-year-old man has died after being rescued from the sea in Playa Blanca, in the municipality of Yaiza, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred at around 11.30 am, when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert reporting that rescuers from the beach had rescued a man from the sea and were performing resuscitation maneuvers on him.
Once at the scene, SUC personnel confirmed that the affected person remained in cardiorespiratory arrest and continued to perform basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without result, confirming his death.
The Local Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources and the Civil Guard guarded the body of the deceased until the arrival of the judicial authority and instructed the corresponding proceedings.
