Firefighters rescued a 72-year-old Irish tourist who had an accident on Montaña Roja this Friday, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when the affected person suffered a possible ankle fracture. An ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service went to the scene and, seeing that they could not get the injured woman down from the mountainside, requested the collaboration of the firefighters to transfer her to the ambulance.
She was later evacuated to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
