A 31-year-old cyclist moderately injured after suffering a fall in Teguise

The person affected was transferred to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital with multiple contusions.

A 31-year-old man was moderately injured after suffering a fall while riding a bicycle on Avenida Garafía, in the municipality of Teguise, Lanzarote.

The incident took place at approximately 18:56 on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting the cyclist's fall and immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.

An ambulance with basic life support from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) went to the scene, whose health personnel assessed and assisted the affected person. At the initial time of assistance, the man presented moderate multiple contusions, so he was transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

Likewise, agents of the Local Police went to the scene of the incident and were in charge of carrying out the corresponding report to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
