National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested an 18-year-old youth, with no police record, as alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force in a property in Arrecife.
The events unfolded after a call to the 091 telephone number of the security guard of an urbanization in the capital of Lanzarote, reporting that he had detained an individual whom he had just caught trying to forcibly access one of the chalets.
The police officers who went to the scene were able to verify how the lock of the property was broken and the cylinder had been removed, so they proceeded to arrest him as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force.
In the security check carried out on the arrested, who turned out to be an 18-year-old youth, a 20-centimeter-long screwdriver was seized.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Arrecife Police Station.
