A 17-year-old boy was rescued from the sea this Monday afternoon on Guacimeta beach in Playa Honda. The boy was in the sea and was being dragged by the current, according to the Emergency Consortium.
Once CECOES was alerted, agents from the Civil Guard, Local Police, firefighters, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service and the GES helicopter were dispatched to the beach. The emergency teams went to meet the boy on a jet ski. The boy was with a surfer who had come to his aid.
The firefighters took the minor to the coast where he was assessed by the paramedics.
