The Timple House-Museum hosted this Friday the concert of Domingo Rodríguez Oramas "El Colorao" within the III Timpleando conference.
"El Colorao" was accompanied on guitar by his great friend Juan Carlos Pérez Brito from La Palma and representing Lanzarote the young soloist Gara Niz. The event was presented by the secretary of the timple association, the famous timplista David Rodríguez "El Majorero". After his speech, the concert began with a composition carried out by the duo Domingo and Juan Carlos known as "Aires de Tambor", followed by the "French Waltz" which featured the voice of Gara Niz. The young woman, from the town of Tao, won the affection and applause of the public that filled the allowed capacity in the concert hall. The evening continued very lively where the complicity with the chosen repertoire where there was no shortage of seguidillas, folías, malagueñas, aires de lima de Artenara and even an instrumental tango where guitar and timple sounded in time
. "El Colorao", a folksy and approachable man, was in charge of presenting each of the pieces, putting his personal stamp on each of them. The concert ended to the rhythm of an isa parrandera with the participation of the Lanzarote soloist Israel who was among the public and Domingo invited him to join his voice to that of Gara Niz and together thus put the finishing touch to the evening that was highly rewarded by the applause of the public.
